In some cases, if you are lucky, this will last for a few minutes in the morning. However, for some more unfortunate mums-to-be, it can last all day for the whole nine months! Imagine that! Research has shown that ginger is an excellent remedy even in the most severe of cases. So, even a ginger nut biscuit can help alleviate these horrible symptoms. In hospital trials doses of up to 1gm per dose has been used safely. Other herbs that help with these pregnancy problems are fennel, lemon balm, chamomile, helonias and peppermint. They are usually best taken as drop doses in tinctures. See Tinctures

Treatment:

Mix 10ml/ 2 tsp of tinctures of fennel, ginger, lemon balm, chamomile, helonias and peppermint into separate 25 ml/ 5 tsp dropper bottle and add water. Keep them handy, maybe on the bedside table and put a few drops of any one of them on your tongue before getting out of bed. Alternate the remedies to see what works.

Take two 200mg of ginger in capsules, 3 times a day. This dose can be increased if need be or use crystallized ginger, ginger beer or ginger biscuits if this is what you prefer.
