The Eunice Ingham Method of Foot Reflexology

Eunice Ingham, born February 24th 1889, deceased December 10th 1974, was training as a therapist and became very interested in the work of Dr William Fitzgerald who was the pioneer in the field of Zone Therapy. Whereas Fitzgerald concentrated on the hands mostly, Ingham was more interested in the zones of the feet.

She began working on people's feet using the thumb to put pressure on areas that corresponded to areas of the body as drawn up roughly by Dr Fitzgerald. As she located tender areas on the feet, she worked to relieve the tenderness by applying pressure, and began to have great results in alleviating symptoms of illness.

Her reputation quickly grew, and she was asked to provide medical students at university advice on the theories and techniques of her practice.

Eunice Ingham wrote Stories The Feet Can Tell and also later, Stories The Feet Have Told.
